Last day of June

Since it’s the last day of June, which is also ermm.. Gulp… just another 6 months to 2009!!, i think i better blog about yours truly’s birthday. It’s a long overdued post, so here goes.

My birthday celebration started about 2 weeks before the actual date as we were worried that Suzie is gonna deliver anytime soon (which she did!!). We first went to Hartz and the funny thing was Suzie and Ah Mond were just about 5 mins late. I dialed her number, no one picks up the phone. i dialed Ah Mond’s number. He didnt pick up either. I told the rest that maybe Suzie is on her way to the hospital. Hehe.. I was so kin teo and dialed her number again. No answer. OH NO! panic attack. I asked Hank what should we do. Should we zoom to Kuching Specialist now or just have my birthday dinner and then go visit her? Haha… And when i finished asking that question, suddenly Suzie and Ah Mond walking hand in hand towards us.

CHEHHH!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys for the dinner and everything :) HUGS

And on the actual date, i organised a BBQ for my friends and some close colleagues. Dad bought me a BBQ set on that day itself. Haha.. we were contemplating whether to use the old one or buy a new BBQ set. Finally, dad decided to just go and get a new one :)

I stayed at home and baked myself a cheesecake. I am proud to say everyone loves my cheesecake!!! It took me a while to get the whole thing done. Then i had to clean the BBQ area. Jacky was here to help. I use the hose to spray water on the floor and Jacky swept the water away. That alone took us about an hour.

Next up is boiling the potatoes. Yien and Peiling were here early to help me with cutting the fruits and then we made baked cheese potatoes and mashed potatoes. It’s super yummy :)

Angela and Julian came and helped to get the fire going. Hank, Erin and Moses came after that and helped out. Thanks!! :)

I wanted to say Charis and hubby were the last but in actual fact, Sally was the last to arrive. She was from Suzie’s place visiting cutie pie, Jordan.

Ohh… before that, that naughty naughty Jacky went out and he came back with a bunch of carnations. i love carnations. My favourite flower. At least he remembers :)   Thanks darling.

I had another surprise from Peiling, Angela and Julian. It’s my birthday cake donuts!! OMG!!! i am a donut sucker!! I heart donuts. YUMMMMMMMYYYY!!! They bought 28 donuts, each representing a year in my life. How thoughtful. I love it!! Thanks so muchie.

almost the last day of June

Another month gone, but June has always been a colorful month for me. Besides yours truly’s birthday, which i havent blog about it yet, i try to go on holiday every June. And i did :)

This is also the month grandma come and stay with us. She’d been halucinating a lot lately. And since yesterday, she’s back to her hibernating mode. I was just talking to my cousin yesterday, we wonder if next time our children or grand children will take care of us if we are like grandma’s condition now. Grandma is 93 years old. Actually, we are kindda confuse on how old she is coz i think there is mistake in her IC. I know she’s old and very fragile. Even if she scolded me or say bad things about me, i never put it in my heart. In fact, i dont really remember them unless someone reminded me about it. My aunt was asking us to tell her about grandma’s halucination stories and when i re-call the stories, it was hilarious. Really… i may be frustrated when it happens but when i talked about it last night, we were all laughing about it. And we sort of console each other that it’s OK.. grandma is so old. We shouldnt take whatever she says to heart.

Qiqi is almost 9 months old. She’s getting very mischievous and super naughty. She keeps wanting to climb when she cant even stand firmly. But this morning, before she goes to church, she actually waves at me. i was like QIQI!! BYEEE!! and she smiles and waves. i was shock!! she finally knows how to wave. Hehe..

Did i tell you that Qiqi and grandma love Barney, the purple dinasour? OMG! They both will clap and laugh together with Barney and friends. But the puzzling thing is that why Barney?? weird eh?? All the adults hate We all dislike Barney. I mean, it’s kindda silly to see a big huge purple dinasour jumping and dancing and singing. I dont get it.

My overdued assignment is due this coming Friday. I will try to get it done today.

Blog again soon

Pseudo PMS? i dont think so

i woke up early this morning. Grandma keep asking me what time izzit and i can feel the pain i dont normally feel around my tummy area. I quickly rush to the toilet. Ahh…. period. i tip toed back to the room and err.. nvm. you dont wanna know the details. hehe..

No wonder i’d got cranky mood yesterday. I feel despondent, irritated, annoyed and all the negative words that you can possibly think of.

So, yes… on this date, my period come to visit me. And there’s a debate on why i put this personal matter in the blog and my answer to them is THIS IS MY BLOG. I CAN WRITE WHATEVER I WANT. and somemore, this is a good way to keep track on dates, just in case my little booklet got stolen.

So, STOP ASKING ME THAT before i get violent. Scared or not ? :P

Feeling angry

It was an angry day in office today. I was so pissed off that i think my nerve wanna burst. Some people just have a brain that is full with jelly and nothing else. Call them bird brain or whatever idiots… they still get on my nerves! ARGGHHHH!!!!!

Anyway, that prompt me to go for Qi Gong class. Thought i can relax my mind a bit. After a long hiatus, I kindda forgot the moves and my ‘qi’ is like not quite enough. So, in the end i feel dizzy and i keep yawning. So much for wanting to clear my head.

Dad will be going to KL to visit my cousin tomorrow. Heard that he is doing quite well and it’s good news eh? :)

Will update soon.

Cruise (Entry No. 3)

Sawadeekap!!

We were all so excited, espeiclaly me i guess. About 5 years ago, I was on the Star Virgo going to Phuket too but unfortunately, due to i-forgot-what, the ship decided not to go there and we stopped in Langkawi instead. i was devastated. I have always love Thailand. i dont know why, but i think i love Thailand more than Singapore.

I put on my beach top, a shorts and wore a flip flop. I brought along all the swim gear and sun block. everything was so well plan BUT Jacky was feeling unwell. He was having slight fever and by the time we disembark, his fever got worse. I know he tried his best not to spoil my good mood. I gave him 2 Panadol and pray for the best.

We chose a free and easy excursion to Patong Beach. Patong Beach is situated on the west coast. The thing that attracted me most to join this excursion are the two words CHEAP SHOPPING when i googled for it. The beach runs abt 3km, the entire length of Patong Beach. 3km of shopping??!! Who can resist that?? Somemore, i’d changed quite a bit of Thai Baht (just for the 5 hours, free and easy shopping).

We went to a local shopping area (no bargain). Again, i forgot the name. Four of us didnt buy anything but we quickly went to the exit where they give free drinks. Haha.. we had few glasses of ice lemon tea, kopi peng, etc.

Next up is Patong Beach. We were given about 5 hours for beach activities and shopping. We rushed to the beach and took some pictures.

Then it started to drizzle a bit. We went into a shoping mall but Jacky’s fever creep back. Oh.. by the way, our tour guide’s name is Mr On or Off (you can call him either one) Hehe..what a name! But he’s good. He recommends to us a place for the best local food and most important, cheap.

OMG! the Tomyam is so super yummy. I feel like i wanna lick the screen now. Cant get the same kind of tomyam taste in Kuching.

Picture: Our only Thai meal in Phuket

As Jacky was not feeling well, we decided not to go swimming, etc. We just walked around and do some shopping. We did some bargaining. I bought some souvenirs, T-shirts and a bag. i heart my Thai bag :)

I was a bit dissappointed but it’s OK. My darling is not well. I blame it on the stupid Penang excursion.

Went back to the ship at around 5 p.m. Jacky went in first. The 3 of us stayed behind for last minute shopping. We wanna spend our last Thai Baht. We end up doing this (picture below)

YES!! DURIAN!!! Hehehe… dont know about Peiling and Teo but i was indeed a happy girl :) Thanks Peiling and Teo for joining me for the durian craze.

In a nutshell, we all enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We gained some weight (i gained the most – 1.3kg!!), broke (spent about RM2500 each including the Cruise and air ticket) but we are really happy. Jacky and I might be looking for another Cruise in near future. Star Virgo.. HERE WE COME!!

Formula One

I’d missed out on the last Grand Prix coz i was in the sea :)

It’s a bit shocking to hear that Robert Kubica is leading the drivers’ standing at the moment. I am keeping my fingers cross that Raikonnen will perform in Magny-Cours.

I am actually watching live over in Star Sports now. Massa just over took Raikonnen :(   Darn!

9.37 p.m. – It’s a Ferrari 1-2. But the not-so-happy news is that Raikonnen is No 2.

The final results:

1. Felipe Massa

2. Kimi Raikonnen

3. Jarno Truli

4. H Kovalainen

5. Robert Kubica

6. Mark Webber

 The rest, i dont care.

Oh well…. time to write my Minutes.

Good night people.

Cruise (Entry No.2)

We reached Penang on Monday (9th June) around noon time.

Picture: All excited when we saw the Penang bridge. Can see kah?

We chose a supposed-to-be fun excursion BUT end up as a rushing excursion. We were asked to group ourself in the Stardust hall, which is located about 10 seconds walk from our rooms in Deck 10. Ohh.. forgot to mention. All the shows and gameshows are located in Stardust hall. The next time you are on this ship, Deck 10 is good location to stay in.

We gathered in the hall, with other group members who is also going on the same excursion with us. I think there are about 30 of us in the English speaking group. We then head to Deck 6 to disembark to another small boat. We were among the first to go into the small boat (which was a lousy move because we had to wait for the rest of them to come into the boat and the boat was a bit shaky).

Picture: (top)Us, trying to smile in the shaky boat and (below) after the boat ride to the jetty.

We went to the Buddhist temple, Kek Lok Si which is staggered on the hillside of Air Hitam, Georgetown. The route up the temple, takes about 15-20 minutes up the staircase depending on how fit you are. It was a rushing trip as we were only given 45 minutes to go up and down. WTF! very ridiculous. Anyway, the four of us rushed up like mad, took some pictures and rushed down to buy some Tambun biscuit.

Picture: Top of Kek Lok Si Temple

And we were all still sweating when we board the bus to the Thai Wat Chayamangkalaram Temple also known as the temple of reclining Buddha. Inside this temple lie a 32 meter long Buddha (Picture below).

We then walked across to another temple, which i forgot what temple it was. After about 30 minutes there, we were brought to a shop to buy local food and we bought more stuff. The excursion ended in Gurney Plaza. Jacky managed to shop for a jumper and more T-shirts. I got myself a baby -T :)

It was in Gurney Plaza that Jacky told me he is feeling a bit weird-weird. And i know he is feeling unwell from the crazy-fast-pace of the excursion trip. We were in and out of the air-con place and somemore, the weather was really hot outside.

We went back to the jetty and wait for our turn to go back to the ship. Had our dinner in Mariners. Jacky started to have flu and headache. I feel a bit nausea, Peiling and Teo also a little tired. We went for another show, i think it was a show put up by the employees of Star Aquarius.

We slept early that night as we were all like sotong liao. Very tired and cant wait for the Phuket journey!!
